Recreation & Events In Las Cruces, NM
With over 300 days of sunshine a year, the Southwest is perfect for outdoor activities. Las Cruces has a number of recreational and athletic opportunities for residents to watch and participate in. There are also some fabulous events in Las Cruces, many historical landmarks and other area attractions in the city and surrounding areas.
Parks / Recreation Centers In Las Cruces
There are more than 87 park sites and public grounds on over 500 acres within the city. Facilities include multiple softball, baseball and soccer fields, tennis courts, a skate park, an aquatics center, a BMX racetrack and nearby wilderness parks.
Las Cruces Recreational Sports / Athletic Events
Athletic leagues are available in a number of sports for all ages. High school and university athletic events often draw big crowds and there is also a minor league baseball team.
The Parks Section maintains parks, athletic fields, medians, and trails throughout the city, as well as, provides litter and weed control along public roadways. There are more than 87 park sites and public grounds totaling some 514 acres, and more than 60 medians within the city’s 80 square miles. City facilities, under the Parks Section, includes multiple athletic complexes containing softball, baseball and soccer fields, sand volleyball, horseshoe, and lighted tennis courts, a skate park and a BMX racetrack.

The Recreation Section offers a variety of programs, activities, and events for the public at the Section’s six centers and indoor and outdoor pools. Recreation is also the primary sponsor of all youth and adult leagues in hockey, volleyball, baseball, softball, track and field, triathlons and duathlons, football, basketball, BMX track, boxing, and soccer, among others. The Recreation Section collaborates with groups and organizations to provide and carry out quality activities and events for the community.

Club Fusion Teen Center

Club Fusion is a teen center with two dance areas, snack bar, V.I.P. Room
and game tables. The facility is equipped with nine television monitors and a projection screen. Club Fusion is also a place to hold weddings, meetings, trainings, and company luncheons.
CLUB FUSION FRIDAY NIGHT POLICY The In/Out Policy at Club Fusion states that once a child has paid for the night, they are in the building for the duration of the event. Phones are available to call for rides and no minor is ever left on the property without supervision. Any child not picked up by 12 am is turned over to the Las Cruces Police Department.
