What advice do you have for people who are looking to move to Las Cruces?
Sue & Roland Schobert:
Roland: Get to know your neighbors. It’s the people that truly make this a wonderful place to live. We love the great diversity and the friendliness and accepting nature of everybody that we run into from builders and contractors to all the people we meet at stores. It’s been amazing how fast we’ve been able to meet people who are real friends. We’ve had to learn how to move from the handshake to the hug.
Sue: Moving here was easier for us because we have a daughter who has lived here for 12 years. When we decided to move down here, one of the first things we did was find our realtors, Dave and Peggy Stevenson. We met for coffee and they asked us different question, and spent the day with us touring the community, talking pros and cons, and about the city. We learned more about the community then we thought we knew. Meeting the locals and getting to know the community is a great way to start your new life here.
“Call Dave and Peggy Stevenson at Steinborn Real Estate. They were an excellent introduction due to all the help and thoughtful care!”
“Shop for new stuff! You can find amazing secondhand furniture. Go to yard sales instead of buying new stuff. Get a good handyman, a plumber, good landscapers, and get your shopping done early.”
